This is Quori, the robot we are using for our research!
Oregon State University, Department of Robotics, SHARE LAB under Dr. Naomi Fitter
Our research aims to understand whether older adults prefer robot coaches with firm, neutral, humorous, or encouraging feedback styles. Furthermore, we are looking to compare participants' exercise performance with each feedback style to their preferred style of feedback to see if there is a correlation between successful exercise completion and participants' feedback preferences.Â
Running individual human-robot interaction study sessions by setting up the robot and taking user feedback (April 2025 - Present).
Generated and updated robot feedback on exercise performance (March 2025).
Analyzing human-robot interactions amongst older adults exercising with a robot coach to make inferences about the possible benefits and shortcomings of using a robot to demonstrate and give feedback on functional movement exercises (February 2025 - Present).
Made Qualtrics surveys for demographics, robot perception, and post-interaction information gathering (February 2025).
